This paper investigates free vibrations of isotropic I-section beams with sinusoidal corrugated web using a theoretical model. The displacement field of the thin-walled beam with variable cross-section is interpolated, and the total potential energy is derived. Using the matrix displacement method, stiffness and mass matrices are derived, and Hamilton's principle is applied to calculate the natural frequencies of free vibrations. To ensure maximum accuracy and avoid any approximations, distinct formulas for the sectional properties are proposed and utilized as functions of the web geometry in the calculations. To validate the formulation, the natural frequencies of free vibrations of the beam in different boundary conditions are obtained and compared with the finite element modeling in ABAQUS. The comparison confirms the high accuracy of the proposed formulation. A parametric study was carried out, addressing the effects of the sine wave components on the vibration response of the beam. The findings demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method for analyzing similar structures.
