The use of solar energy is one of the solutions to address the challenges of energy crisis and environmental pollution. In this study, a new combined cycle for simultaneous electricity generation and cooling using solar energy is proposed. The proposed cycle consists of a parabolic trough solar collector cycle, an organic Rankine cycle with a regenerator, a Brayton cycle with an intercooler and reheat, and a combined organic Rankine cycle - vapor compression refrigeration cycle. The daily solar radiation in Esfarayen is calculated and the energy and exergy performance of the system is evaluated. The results show that the proposed system is capable of producing 2640 MW electricity per year and reducing the temperature of the water 29 degrees with a flow rate of 20 kg/s during the day. Additionally, the impact of solar radiation, mass flow rate of fluids in the solar collector and organic Rankine cycles, and the type of refrigerant in the organic Rankine cycle with a regenerator on the performance of the proposed cycle is evaluated.
