In the present study, the effect of various parameters on the performance of these converters has been numerically and experimentally investigated. For this purpose, a laboratory sample has been built and the results obtained have been compared with the data obtained from numerical simulation using the ANSYS Fluent software.
The results showed that when the fin pitch is reduced from 2.5 to 1 mm, the pressure drop increases by approximately 3.2 times. If the air flow velocity is considered constant and equal to 3.5 m/s and the fin pitch is reduced from 2.5 mm to 1 mm, the heat transfer coefficient increases by approximately 20%. When the fin pitch is increased from 1 mm to 2.5 mm and the Reynolds number is constant, the value of this factor improves by approximately 45.5%. It has also been shown that the numerical data is in very good agreement with the experimental results.
